GEMS CYCC Qualifiers – April-7-2019
Canadian Youth Chess Championship Qualifiers
This tournament is a CYCC qualifier. Players achieving a score of 2.5 or better in the tournament will qualify to participate in the CYCC 2018. The top players from CYCC will further represent Canada to the 2019 World Youth Chess Championships. Player score 2.5 or more will get a Medal.

All games are CFC rated.
(Any kids can play regardless of their chess level skills. Its good for fun as well as practice for the game.
Sections: Under 8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 Open and Girls
Sections with fewer than 12 players may be combined.
Girls can choose to play in open or girl section if any.
Age: as of January 1, 2019.

Format and schedule:
5 round Swiss pairings. Time controls: 30 minutes per player.
Round start time: 9:00 AM, 10:00, 11:00, 12:30 and 1:30 or earlier
Games are CFC Active rated.
1st Trophy After tie-breaks
2nd Trophy After tie-breaks
3rd Trophy After tie-breaks
Players score 2.5 or more (Must not be among the top three 1st, 2nd, 3rd positions) will be getting Medal.

Must check in and pay entry fee between 8:00 and 8:45 AM.
